Rev. Dr. Dee Dee Turlington
Dr. Turlington studied at Union Theological Seminary in New York City, earning a Ph.D. in New Testament in the joint UTS/Columbia University program and a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies. She is an ordained American Baptist pastor and served 20 years at the First Baptist Church of Westfield, NJ, the last nine as Senior Pastor, retiring in June of 2010. She has been an adjunct professor at New York City area schools and has been active in denominational leadership.
Rev. Turlington is Immediate Past President, member of the Board of Governors, and Chairperson of the Development Council of the ABCUSA Ministers Council and serves on the Board of Visitors of the Divinity School at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. At her local church, Hammock Community Church in Palm Coast, Florida, she is the Minister of Spiritual Life, deeply engaged in healing prayer, and Superintendent of the Children’s Church. In her community she leads Bible Study and volunteers with Hospice Care.
Dee Dee is married to retired corporate tax attorney R. Donald Turlington Jr. They have one son and a daughter-in-law living in the San Francisco, CA, area.
